Veterans lend their voices to NHS campaign for World Mental Health Day
Veterans in England can access Op COURAGE, The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service for support with their mental health and wellbeing.
Op COURAGE is a dedicated NHS service for those who have served in the UK armed forces, reservists or those who are due to leave and have a leaving date.
Experiences and advice from Jon Giemza-Pipe, Lived Experience Lead, and Nick, a veteran who has accessed the service, are shared in a series of videos commissioned by the marketing and communications team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The videos are now being used to encourage other veterans who are struggling with difficulties like low mood, depression, flashbacks to come forward and ask for help.
